Community volunteers like to meet up here once a week for fun in helping to beautify the area for everyone to enjoy the gardens and welcome anyone who wants to join in.
Ian Deutch Memorial Park is where families like to go for fun. You'll find a skate park, children's playground area, picnic area with party and entertainment covered grounds, plus soccer and baseball fields. They even offer Free Movies in the Park during the summer where you can bring your lawn chairs or blankets to watch under the stars. The Snack Bar is open but you're also welcome to bring your own. Ian Deutch Memorial Park often holds a few annual special events here too which make it fun to attend and usually helps charities in town.
People in Pahrump just love to have fun at the community events which brings people out from miles around to get together (when there's no pandemic). There's the Annual Fall Festival and Parade, The Annual Hot Air Balloon Festival, 4th of July Fireworks display, Rodeos in the Riding Arena Stadium, Horseshoe Tournaments, a Community Pool with Gazebos, Dirt Car racing at Pahrump Valley Speedway, and of course lots more.
If you like golf, it's only a few minutes to either one of our local golf courses. Lake View Executive golf course is just a 5 minute drive and the Mountain Falls golf course is close to almost being a 15 minute drive.
Nearby Mountain Springs, Red Rock National Park, Death Valley, Amargosa Valley, Shoshone, CA (just 27 miles away), and many more destinations offer hiking trails and more in nature to enjoy. Make sure you get out to see China Ranch too for a famous Date Shake. China Ranch is also becoming popular for movie makers too. Tecopa Hot Springs is a must in the winter time to help heal those aching joints in the natural hot springs. Mount Charleston is can be a winter wonderland or simply a great place to go during summers, or any time of the year. Plus you can always join the local hiking group in town known as Outdoors Pahrump too. =)
There are many RV Parks out here, so staying at one while having your money-making building under construction makes it very enjoyable to be close by so you can see it in progress. Winter Snowbirds love to come to Pahrump for the RV Parks. Although they get away from the snow, the locals love it here when it snows which is at least once a year, maybe twice if lucky.
